The Queensberry Shed is the home of Central Otago’s latest restaurant offering, hidden in the hillside of this unique landscape. 

Architect Guy Tarrant imagined this building as ‘a collection of sticks propped up by a rammed earth wall’. In this case, the ‘sticks’ are locally grown macrocarpa and the stunning earth wall is crafted from soils sourced in the nearby Cardrona Valley. 

A considered design outside and in, the kitchen and bar features custom joinery and shelving detail.
